Adsense Has A New Terms Of Agreement?

I signed in to my Adsense account today and found that after I logged in, it took me to their new Terms and Agreement page. I didn't know that they were going to do this and I will have to do a little searching around to see if I can find out more about why they have a new Terms and Agreement. If you know anything about this please be sure to let me (and us) know.

What Are "Adsense Pirates"?

What are "Adsense Pirates"? Well these are people who will contact you - usually via email - and tell you that they will cause invalid clicks on your Adsense site unless you contact them.



Once you contact them they will say something along the lines of if you don't give them a piece of your adsense earnings then they will put invalid clicks on your site and then that will cause Adsense to cancel your adsense account. (Which by the way is very hard to get back once your adsense account is cancelled - especially for invalid clicks!)



I have been to a number of forum sites where people will ask - even beg - people to click on the ads to their adsense sites (so that they will earn more adsense money). I sometimes wonder if Adsense themself have seen these kind of forum sites where people are begging people to click on their adsense ads.


I do remember seeing where Adsense prohibits this kind of thing on sites that have Adsense ads on them but I don't think that they are aware of these forum sites where people are begging others to click on their adsense ads.



This adsense "pirate" thing was in the news a while back but recently others have been posting about it. For example someone reported that they got a comment on their blog where someone said that if they didn't want invalid clicks on their blog then they should contact them. Fortunately this person knew about the Adsense "pirate" thing and they simply ignored the comment. (Another good reason to have your blog comments moderated!).



Personally, I have a stats tracker on my sites and I have seen instances of invalid clicks on some of my sites and I have seen that Adsense simply discounts them as invalid BUT Adsense did NOT disable my account!



However, if you do get this kind of message then you should send it to Adsense as I am sure that they would be very interested in this kind of thing and the people who are sending you this kind of message!

How long does it take to get my site / blog approved by Adsense?

When I submitted my site to adsense to get approved it took them less than a week to email me back to say that my site was approved. Now some people have said that it took longer for them to get notified of approval and yet still others said it took less than a few days.

If you are waiting for your approval and you think that it is taking longer than it should here are some things that you can do.

• you can check your "junk" email just in case to see whether or not your approval was sent to your junk email box by mistake
  

• you can send a 2nd email to adsense (with an optional 2nd email address that you can give them) to check on the status of your approval

New Rules For New Adsense Publishers!

If you're thinking about joining the Google Adsense program then you should be aware that Adsense has started a new process for new Adsense Publishers.

Basically speaking if you are joing the Google Adsense program for the first time then your review process will be a little bit different. When you submit your site to Adsense, there will be a two-step process. First your site will be reviewed and Adsense will provide "blank" ads. Once your site is reviewed more closely and your site has been approved then you will be able to have the Adsense ads on your site. "Your Adsense Payment Is On It's Way"..........

I got this email the other day and was quite suspicious of it! I did a little checking around and I found out from Rose that it seems to be a legitimate email from them.

Rose said she posted a query about this on one of the adsense-related forum boards and that she got a reply almost right away from one of the senior members of the forum who said that the email was legitimate.

It seems that Adsense has been sending this kind of email for a while now but this has been the first time that I think I ever got one.

I'm not saying 100% that you should trust this email because I was suspicious when I saw that the links in the email didn't go directly to adsense so I didn't click on them!

As always if you are suspicious about an email then you should go directly to the source and NOT click on the links that are provided in the email. If you have your suspicions then you should go directly to the Adsense site, send them an email asking them if it was them that legitimately sent you the email!

Sometimes You Can Get The Strangest Kind Of Results With Adsense!

I was looking at my Adsense numbers today and noticed that I got paid 1 cent for 8 clicks???????? That kind of seems unusual!

Also too my earnings seem to be down for the past few days. I'm kind of guessing that it has something to do with the holiday weekend.

But we still have a few more days to go before the month ends so I'm working to get my adsense earning numbers up.

Has Your Adsense Account Been Disabled?

If your adsense account has been disabled and you want to do something about it you can appeal it.  Adsense has provided a link where you can fill out a form to appeal your adsense account if it has become disabled.

In the past I have seen posts from those who have managed to successfully get their adsense account back but there are more that have posted that they have tried and couldn't get their adsense account back.

But you have to try - especially if you want to get your adsense account back!

How Many Times A Day Do You Check Your Adsense Earnings?

How many times a day do you check your adsense earnings? I must confess that I check mine at least three times a day! - LOL!

I think checking it at least once a day is perhaps more normal - but I never said that I was a normal sort of person - LOL!

I think it has to do with the fact that I still find it so amazing to be earning money this way that I keep checking just to see how much I have earned during the day - especially during the weekends when Adsense earnings tend to be much lower - depending on the content of one's site.

Also as an Adsense Consultant, I'm also checking to see if any of my adsense earnings follow any kinds of trends in the hopes of finding out ways to increase my adsense earnings.

It is really hard to pinpoint any kind of Adsense trend though because Adsense earnings depend on so many things - but I keep trying (and I keep checking my Adsense numbers more than just a few times a day!)

I am starting a website that provides a free service to people. I have heard that you can generate revenue from advertisers and click through? How do I do this and where do I go to get started. Furthermore, How much money on the average can this generate? Are there averages for $ per traffic? Like for every 1000 people you can gererate $1.00???? Because I have no idea---Thank you in advance for your answers -- Sorry for the dumb question."

A lot of people use Google's Adsense program. You register to apply and submite your site's url so that they can review and approve it. Once your site has been approved then you can go through the steps of adding the codes to your website. That process involves you picing the size and color of your ads. You are not able to pick the specific ads because they will be determined by the content on your site.

When people click on the ads that appear on your site (or blog) you earn money. In the case of adsense you have to earn at least $100 during the month in order to get paid the next month. If you don't make $100 during the month then your earnings will be rolled over into the next month until you reach $100. Then you can get paid either by regular check or by bank transfer.

Now as far as how much money you actually earn - it will depend. Since adsense "crawls" your site for content the advertisers/ads that your site will attract will depend on the content of your site. So (in theory) you want your site to attract high-paying ads/advertisers. The more high-paying - the more money you will earn!

The high-paying keywords change all the time. I most recently read that keywords about class-action suits are popular now.

But a lot of higher-paying keywords have to do with things of a financial nature.

What is really surprising is that you never know what keyword will generate a high-paying advertiser. I remember getting a cpm rate of over $1000! and this was for one of my client's more mundane sites!

You can find lists of "high-paying keywords" all over the internet but be forewarned that what was considered high-paying a few days or weeks ago may not "fetch" the same high-paying price now.

It changes - oh so much!

My Click-Through Rates Are Really, Really Low!

This is something that I'm not too ashamed to admit because it seems to be happening to a lot of other Adsense publishers as well!

My click-through rate used to average at least 10% and 10% was actually my click-through rate goal. But starting as far back as of the last few months of 2009 my click through rates have decreased a lot!

It is something that I am really going to have to work on so that I can get back to my click through rate goal of at least 10%. Individually my CTR rate averages about 10% or sometimes even higher but when you add all of my Adsense sites together my CTR rate is quite low.

On the bright side this does give me the opportunity to work on some ideas that I have so that I can increase my CTR rate. But I do think that a lot of this has to do with the way that the adsense ads appear on my sites! I really can't understand what kind of change could have occurred within the last few months to make the CTR rates go down so much????

"Why Is My Adsense Just Cents Per Day....."

I've been making unique content and seo...But yet, my adsense is just cents per day...

It doesn't matter how "unique" your content is - if it is not one of the high-paying keywords that bring in higher earnings per click you are still going to earn low Adsense earnings - no matter how unique your content is.

You can take a look at my current Adsense Consultant blog where I blog about high-paying kewords and where I am also selling a high-paying keywords list. Some of these higher-paying keywords pay as much as $50 per click!

I still on the hunt though for those keywords that pay $100 per click!

My Current Search Engine Rankings!

Since I am also an SEO Consultant I decided to take a look at my search engine rankings for today.

As you can see from the screenshot above BOTH of my Adsense Consultant blogs are not only on the first page of the google search engine, they are #1 and #3 in search engine results for the term "adsense consultant!

High search engine rankings are very important, especially when you have Google adsense ads on your site because the higher your site ranks then that means the more traffic that you will get!

As you can see from the screenshot above, over 1 Million hits are listed on the search engine for the term adsense consultant. And I can tell you that from one of my own reports that a lot of people are typing in the term adsense consultant. So my two adsense consultant blogs are in a very good ranking position!

Do you need to provide a social security number to be paid by google adsense?

yes you have to provide your SS#. You see as an individual your SS# is your tax id number and google adsense needs that. Why? Because if Adsense pays you more that $400 they have to report it to the IRS!

Notice Something DIFFERENT About Your Adsense Account?

It seems that there has been a little cosmetic change to your Adsense account!

It seems that Adsense has changed the way your Adsense account page looks. According to their blog they assure us Adsense publishers that these changes do not affect the way our Adsense earnings are calculated.

Did you already see this? If not, take a look at the screen shot below:



As you can see the top portion of the screenshot shows the way your Adsense page looked BEFORE Adsense changed it. The top of your adsense page used to say "Today's Earnings" but NOW it says "Today's ESTIMATED Earnings!

According to Adsense this change that they have made will not affect your Adsense earnings.

Basically what they are saying is that your adsense earnings aren't officially tabulated until your adsense earning numbers are verified (which usually occurs around the 10th of the next month before they send your Adsense payment).

I can honestly say that I have seen this happen on my own Adsense account where at the end of the month there will be an Adsense earning total but by the 10th of the next month that Adsense earning number has changed - in my case it changed to a higher number - thank goodness.

Guess What! Adsense Publisher Being Blackmailed!

Adsense Pirates?

I could hardly believe it when I read about it!

It seems that one of the Adsense publishers was being blackmailed from someone (the place of origin seems to be from Algeria) who was using their Adsense search engine to click multiple times on the Adsense ads. Of course that made the Adsense publisher's adsense earnings go up but its also a red flag to invalid click activity!.

After the Adsense publsiher's adsense earnings went up they received an email from the blackmailer wanting the Adsense publisher to send them half of the Adsense money that they earned because of the increased clicks otherwise the blackmailer would continue to make many Adsense clicks thereby causing a red flag to Adsense in the hopes that Adsense would ban the Adsense publisher's account!

Fortunately from what I know so far, the Adsense publisher didn't give in to the blackmailer but posted about their experience online.

How To Make Money From Home Using Adsense?

If you want to know how to make money from home using Google's Adsense program here is a simple explanation:

First you have to have a website or blog and you have to make sure that your sites will be able to have the Google Adsense ads on them. Not ALL hosting sites let you to be able to add Adsense ads to them!

One you have your website or blog you can then submit it to Google's Adsense program. They will need to know this information because they will first have to review and approve your site before you can be accepted into the Adsense program.

Once your site has been approved you will then go through the steps of deciding the style and look of your Adsense ads. You don't get to choose which advertisers appear on your site because that will be determined by the content (wording) on your site.

How To Make Money Using The Google Adsense Program:

The adsense revenue that you earn will depend on a number of things. The more traffic you have to your site the more potential ad clicks that you will get.

As an Adsense Consultant I can tell you that there are some different ways that one can use to increase their Adsense revenue or how much Adsense earnings one can make. You should also be able to find all kinds of Adsense Consultant tips and adsense consulting tips by just find some online sites relating to how one can make more money with the Google Adsense program.

Now there are some people that have earned quite a lot of money using Adsense and there have even been a few Adsense Millionaires out there!
